Potential Development east of Great Notley behind London Road

The Parish Council has received further communication from the consortium of builders who wish to develop the land behind London Road which they have entitled Great Notley East.

Some further consultation events are due to take place prior to the full planning application being submitted towards the end of 2021

A representative for the consortium has stated -

Great Notley East will provide approximately 1,750 homes of all sizes, types and tenures, as well as new community facilities, such as a primary school, sports pitches, community centre, allotments, local shops, restaurants and cafes, parks and play areas, pedestrian and cycle links to Great Notley and Braintree and new employment space. We have taken inspiration from the existing development of Great Notley as well as incorporating new approaches to urban design and master planning and have been working closely with Braintree District Council and Essex County Council officers to deliver the best possible scheme for the local area.

Residents will  have an opportunity to view the proposals and provide feedback at a public drop in event to be held on 2 November 2021 from 4pm to 7.30pm at the Church in Great Notley.

There will also be on online event on 11th November from 6pm to 7.30pm.

More information is also available on the developer's website.

Previously a public exhibition was held on 21st January 2019 by Bloor Homes and details may be viewed below
