The Parish Council offers its condolences upon the death of the Duke of Edinburgh. The Parish Council Chairman, Dorothy Griffin offers the following words -
All members and staff at Great Notley Parish Council are greatly saddened by the death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. We offer our deepest Sympathies to HRH Queen Elizabeth and the Royal family.
A flag will be flown at half mast at the Hospital Memorial for the period of mourning.
The designated area for flowers in this Parish is the village sign by Panner's Pond however the Royal Family is discouraging people from laying flowers and encouraging those who wish to do so to make a donation to a charity supported by the Duke and more information can be found on the website of the Royal Family www.royal.uk
