Delivery of Great Notley Parish Council services during Covid 19

Great Notley Parish Council continues to carefully assess the provision of its services during the Covid 19 outbreak to make sure it continues to provide  services for residents whilst safe guarding the health and safety of its employees.

Since the Prime Minister's announcement on Sunday 10th May 2020 the litter team has returned to providing its full litter picking and bin emptying service as from 13th May 2020.  As required a full risk Assessment  has been carried out and extra Health and Safety measures have been put in place for the team in relation to social distancing and hygiene to enable the Parish Council to provide the service to residents 7 days a week.

The one alternation to services is that in view of social distancing requirements the Parish Council has suspended the service of the emergency provision of free dog poo bags to those who are out and about walking dogs for the time being.  This is to prevent close contact between residents and the team.

The Parish Council is also aware that residents often approach members of the litter team to ask questions and again ask that you keep your distance from team members in accordance with social distancing requirements.  Indeed it would be easier to ask any questions by contacting the Clerk either by phone or email

The position is subject to continued review in this fast moving and uncertain situation.

The Parish Council managed play areas at Levens Way and the RAFT skate area at Notley Green will remain closed in accordance with Government guidelines for the time being.

Specific projects such as play area upgrades and new equipment will be postponed until after the Covid 19 situation has abated.

The Parish Council Clerk will continue to work as normal and any questions may be addressed to her either via email greatnotleyclerk@gmail.com or by phone 01376 331251.
