Great Notley Parish Council offers its condolences upon the death of Her Majesty the Queen and the Parish Council Chairman offers the following thoughts
Great Notley Parish Council is greatly saddened by the passing our late Sovereign, her majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. Our sorrow at this time is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by our longest serving Monarch. That service was an inspiration to many and an example to us all.
Flowers
If members of the public wish to lay flowers the designated site within the Parish is the Village sign at Panners Pond, Great Notley.
Flags
The Union flag will be flown at the Hospital memorial and will be flown at half mast and full mast in accordance with Government guidelines
Books of Condolence
If residents wish to sign a book of condolence then one is available at the Church in Great Notley from 9am to 7pm. Also you may attend Braintree District Council at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree or may sign the online book at www.royal.uk

Parish Council business
Day to day Parish Council tasks will continue but as a mark of respect no Parish Council meetings will take place during this period of mourning.
Other information
The Sunday morning communion service to be held at the Church in Great Notley on Sunday 18th September will incorporate a service of thanksgiving and all resident are welcome to attend.
The Church will also broadcast the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen on Monday 19th September and the Church will be open from 10.15am
