Update on work being carried out by Gigaclear in the Parish

You may be aware that about two years ago, Gigaclear were working in the Parish and built a full fibre network to a small number of premises within Great Notley as part of their work with Superfast Essex – Essex County Council’s broadband improvement programme.

Since then, Gigaclear has started to expand their networks commercially and have now returned to the Parish to build their network to even more homes and businesses within the parish.

The Parish Council has been advised that they will not need to do too much digging in trenches and verges this time as they will be looking to use pre-existing infrastructure, so disruption should be minimal.  They expect to be in the area for around 3-6 months in total and by the end, the vast majority of premises in Great Notley will have access to Gigabit capable broadband should they choose to take up a service.

Gigaclear has provided a number of links for residents to use if they have questions or queries about the works as set out below
